Leprechaun
Pranks
March 17, 2004
Happy St.
Patrick's Day!
Here at Black Pond Farm we have a leprechaun that visits every year. The
kids believe that he *must* have come back with us when Tim and I returned
from our honeymoon in Ireland.
Our leprechaun always
leaves gold coins (the chocolates in the shiny foil) and story books for the
kids -- and plays pranks on us!
This year, he also left
green "leprechaun cookies" that were shaped like shamrocks.
The yummy cookies turned Erin and Preston's tongues GREEN -- that silly
leprechaun!
I made pancakes for
breakfast...but when I mixed up the batter, it turned GREEN -- OH!
That silly leprechaun got us AGAIN!
Erin suggested we make
shamrock shaped pancakes, so we did.
Next, I went to pour Erin
and Preston a glass of milk. The milk was WHITE in the jug, but GREEN
when it went into their glasses -- That wacky leprechaun and his tricks!
Preston age 4
(Yes, I
know, but they only get ONE CHILDHOOD and I'm not going to mess it up for
them!)
Next
year I bet he will go around the house and gather up everything he can
find that is the color GREEN and put it in a big pile...
