Before we started a family, I
kept a journal.
It was like therapy for me to work through life’s challenges.
I found that one’s thought process was slowed down considerably
in writing, giving me a chance to truly reflect upon the “root” of my
daily life challenges and how I reacted to any situation.
As a first time Mother, I didn’t have the time to journal as I'd had in the past. I had experienced a complete life change, not only by becoming a new Mommy, but I had given up my office job to become a full-time Mother and ALSO moved out to the country into a cabin that needed a lot of work. Throw in a bunch of crazy critters and you have some wild adventures!
I began sending out my journal entries as short stories, (sometimes written at odd hours) these became known as,
The Adventures From Black Pond Farm
Many people had never experienced farm life and enjoyed hearing about our “Adventures”. We were truly city folks that moved out to the country and had to learn as we went along. Readers could relate to the humor of it all and began to ask for a list of their favorites.
Here I have posted all of those short stories (by year) to share with all our visiting farmhands.
