Quick little project, July 10-11 2009:
Mom and Dad have a lot of great split granite from an old quarry near their place in Clancy, Montana. They let me load these two on July 5, we drove home July 6 and we had them up the next weekend.
These two rocks weigh 2160 lbs combined.
The base has about $120 in split granite plus 780 lbs of concrete. I could have done the base much more cheaply with rough granite, but this seemed like a better fit.
