Erin Makes Silly Faces
February 7, 2001

One of the best aspects to being a "stay home Mom" is the many opportunities to be out-right silly with the kids!

Our little farmhands are exactly a year-and-a-half apart in age.  They amaze me daily and naturally, they are perfect lil' people!  Sure, sure, there are the endless days of routine activities...just bathing, changing, feeding and general care can make a day go by in a flash.  Heaven forbid there is a new tooth or the sniffles -- that's enough to throw everything out of sync!

So, I've come to the conclusion that that is the reason why there's a Mommy and a Daddy.

Tim is GREAT.  He shows up with flowers and chocolates, smiles and hugs and I can retreat to a nice bubble bath.

In a perfect world, one parent should always back the other up during stressful periods.  Some days can seem like weeks, so don't believe for one minute that there are bon-bons eaten and soap operas going in a house where "Mom" stays home to raise kids.

However, as I have said before, this is the right thing for our family.  My office job wasn't nearly as important!  My disclaimer is simply that I know without a doubt we will not do all the "right" things as parents -- but you better believe we are gonna' knock ourselves out trying!

Erin is now just three months away from her 3rd. Birthday.  Her newest game is making silly faces.  We had "big fun" turning the camera around and watching ourselves on the monitor.  Erin giggled as I clicked the photos (right).
